Unplugged

Currently I am up in British Columbia, Canada with the kiddos visiting my family. We left Brian down in (extremely, unbearably hot) Houston and have been having a blast up here in Canada. This is the reason for my unexplained absence from the blogging world. Since I left my iPhone down in Houston with Brian as well I have been enjoying some time "unplugged" from the blogging, facebooking, instagramming, and any other social media world. I won't go so far as to say I've totally cut myself off from them, I do have access to my iPad and my parents computer up here, but for some reason without the iPhone I just don't have as much of an urge to go on these things. It has been a really nice break.
One of my goals for the Summer was to unplug from all electronics (except for lights and the fridge and other things I deem "necessities") for a day. I haven't gone that far yet, but this is a step in the right direction. It's been a nice summer break. We are going camping on Sunday for 3 days so I will be even more removed from the world and I'm looking forward to it.
We are just soaking up the last few weeks of summer before we head back to Houston and real life. Brian starts up school again on the 19th and we are starting Logan's preschool co-op at the end of August. It's been a great summer but I am looking forward to some more structure again.
