I know I took the weekend off (oh, it wasn't a long weekend?) but I didn't quit with my 7 days of dresses challenge. I actually really enjoyed it, and it made me realize how many dresses I have. I tried to push myself with this challenge and wear my clothes in ways I haven't don't before. Some days it was hard getting ready enough to take a picture of myself, especially the days Logan had a fever last week.
I feel like my style has really evolved in the past year. I wouldn't exactly say I'm stylish, but I'm getting to know my closet a lot better and I'm having fun with my clothes. I love going on Pinterest and seeing outfits that inspire me and mentally going through my wardrobe to see if I can recreate it. I was reading a post at Freckles in April once and she described perfectly what I feel about fashion blogging. To paraphrase; there are bloggers who inspire, and bloggers who are inspired. I am in the inspired category and it's a super fun category to be in.
This outfit is perfect for days when I just want to wear pants. Every time I wear a maxi skirt I just think of this e-card. I wore this last week when Logan was feverish and very clingy and emotional. It was a rough day for him and I needed all the comfort I could get.
Tee: Banana Republic (old) // Skirt: Gift // Shoes: Aldo (last seen here) |
Shirt: LOFT Outlet (last seen here) // Dress: Target Maternity (similar) // Necklace: Stella & Dot |
I really got a lot of wear out of my maternity maxi dresses this week. This dress was another maternity dress, but I love it. Belting it helps to pull in the extra material that allows for an expanding pregnant waistline.
Dress: Motherhood Maternity // Belt: Husbands // Shoes: Jessica Simpson (similar) |
Cardigan: Gift (old) // Dress: Stolen from the other sister // Shoes: Gift // Cuff; Stella & Dot (on sale!) |
The red/purple combo is good! Wear it out of the house :)
