Belt It

Happy Friday everyone! And Happy 5 years to me and Brian. Today is our anniversary and that means date night. Summer just decided last week that she would take a bottle. I like to think that was her little anniversary gift to us. Thanks Summer, you have no idea how much I appreciate it. Date night here we come!
I tried remixing my dress from day one but after trying it on 5 different ways I could not make an outfit that said "anniversary date". I wanted something cute and casual-dressy. Enter this outfit.
We are going to a Hibachi grill and Sushi bar for dinner, so I wanted something fun with a teeny-tiny hint of fancy. I don't usually wear belts in the actual belt loops of my pants, so I thought I'd try that out with this challenge. I love the way the white patent belt pops off the dark pants. And paired with my favorite heels and gold cuff it gives this outfit just the right amount of dressy. But I think the biggest achievement of this outfit is the fact that I was able to squeeze (and I literally mean squeeze) myself into these jeans. I haven't been able to wear these since before I had Logan. I couldn't even put these babies on in between L and S. Can you tell I'm excited? Cause I really am!

Today I had somewhere to be so getting ready was a fast one. I was pleased to wear my pink flower belt again. My mom got it for me for Christmas and yesterday and today were the only times I've worn it. This challenge is forcing me out of my normal rotation of outfits. But what made today even better was the weather. It was 24 degrees Celsius which was amazing! Bring on summer!
