Car Painting

I pinned this idea from No Time For Flashcards a few months ago and on a rainy afternoon last week I thought I'd give it a try. Logan was really excited to paint with his trucks, but with the typical attention span of a 2-year-old grew tired of it quickly. I was able to prolong the activity by sitting down and doing it with him for a bit. Although it didn't take up as much time as I was hoping, anything that holds his attention for a little bit that isn't the t.v. is a successful activity in my books. I feel like if we were to try this again with one of his little boy friends it would last much longer. Although when there are two things tend to escalate quickly and I would probably be refereeing a lot more to try and keep the mess to a minimum.

We used three different colors with three different cars. I just randomly chose 3 cars that I thought would be relatively easy to clean up. This little yellow tractor had a fun little tread on it that Logan liked. Choosing cars with different tread on their wheels would be a fun idea to try with this activity.
